PaleoJay Podcast# 50 Stop wearing casts on your feet and your head! And, proper breathing for wonderful health!

Almost everyone in the modern world is fettered in their movement, and in their eyesight, by the casts they burden themselves with.  I am talking about shoes; which if worn constantly, make your feet incredibly weak and susceptible to all sorts of problems... like plantar fasciitis, flat feet, and just plain pain in the foot, which then tends to move upstream, causing pain in the knees, hips, and back!  All of these chains of movement are interrelated, and if one link in the chain is weak, it alters the gait and just screws thing up throughout the chain of movement, and real damage to joints and resulting pain can and will result through bad planes of movement!  This is all very serious stuff, long term.  You can tough it out for awhile, but eventually you will become unable to move if you don’t address the imbalances.

So, bottom line- at least for SOME of the time, your feet must be barefoot, and walking or best of all- sprinting!

NOTHING strengthens a muscle and tendons like using them; the more vigorously the better!  So, at a bare minimum, start leaving your shoes at the door, as the Asians do- do NOT wear your shoes in the house!  It’s much more sanitary as well... Socks are fine- they do not force your feet into unnatural confinement and paralysis; they just keep your feet warm.  So, that is step #1.  Your feet will gradually strengthen, thru barefoot walking about the house...

For step two, start walking barefoot around the yard, or park!  It really is crucial to gradually accustom your feet to real work- walk barefoot outside as much as you can in the warmer months!  Each step will gradually strengthen the complex tendon/ligament/muscular structure that is your foot.  If you walk in shoes, your feet are in a cast, a cement overcoat if you will, that supports the foot like walking in moon boots- think about how fast, if you have ever broken a bone or witnessed someone who had their arm or leg in a cast- how incredibly fast that limb withered and became weak when so confined!  Now, think of your feet, having been in a cast for most of your whole life-

No wonder most folks wind up with foot, knee, hip, and back problems!!

So, start at the source: fix your feet.

Walk around barefoot!  Jog around on green space (yard, park, whatever) barefoot!  Sprint barefoot!  Sprinting barefoot, which I do once per week or so, is the ultimate foot and leg and total body workout, bar none!!

Just run sprints for a short distance, “wind sprints” we used to call them in high school track in the olden days- anywhere from 50 to 400 yards or so... no need to measure, just run really hard and fast (for you, there is no measurement of competition here!), and then stop, and rest a bit.  When you have caught your breath a bit, take off the other way, back to where you started.

Repeat, for oh, 4 to 8 more times...  it’s your call, really!

You are working your entire body, musculature, tendons, ligaments, heart and lungs- the works!  Nothing in the world will lean you out like barefoot sprinting-

And it hardly takes any time at all- if you go beyond 15 minutes you’ve done WAY too much!

I always have flashbacks to little 8 year old Jay when I do my barefoot sprinting in my yard, since it makes me feel just like it did back then when I run all-out, barefoot, the wind in my hair and the grass against my bare feet...  the only difference now is that my hair is white- and really, that is the only difference, and I am 61 years old!  It really feels great!!

The other really great thing about barefoot sprinting is that it forces you to breathe properly, i.e. COSTAL Breathing!

Like most things in modern living, our breathing has also become adulterated, since most people breath shallowly, or “chest breath” a minimal amount, constantly...

Like wearing shoes constantly, which drastically weakens your feet, chest breathing in a minimal fashion drastically reduces the strength and vitality of your entire body, resulting in conditions like asthma, speech impediments like stuttering, and even just the ability to speak or sing in public effectively!  Minimal breathing is like another cast you have thrown on your body, and hampers you more than you know, and almost everyone suffers this condition!!

The proper way to breath is to gradually fill you lungs up, from the bottom, using your diaphragm...   All singers and wind instrument players learn this!! It is vital for them, but it is ALSO VITAL FOR LIFE!!

And so, it is vital for you to learn proper, costal breathing: here’s how-

You take a breath in, try to have your belly expand first.

Then,  continue the process of inhaling- after your belly is completely full of life-giving air-

Expand more into the chest- the more the better!!  This expands the rib cage (costal means relating to the ribs), and then, when you exhale, the forceful contracting of the rib cage finally results in the forceful contracting of the abdomen-

which results in the most wonderful ab exercise in the world, and so if you breath properly in this costal fashion, YOU WILL PERFORM THOUSANDS OF REPS OF THE BEST ABDOMINAL EXERCISE IN THE WORLD EVERY SINGLE DAY!!

And so, not only do you supply your body with the maximum amount of life-giving oxygen possible by breathing costally-  you also shrink your gut, automatically!

So, there is one more cast you have gotten rid of on your body- first the shoe cast, and now the shallow, improper, barely sufficient for life breathing cast!

And now, the final cast, the one you wear on your head- EYEGLASSES.

Yes, the simple eyeglass.  Just a simple way to see better, right?  No problem with that, you say, thank God we have a solution for perfect eyesight- just wear glasses, or contacts, LENSES of some type, and our vision will be perfect, right??

Untii NEXT year... and the year after that...


And you know what?

It NEVER STOPS- Every year, for the rest of your life, as long as you rely on these casts for your eyes, your eyes will get weaker, and weaker!!

It’s just like exercise for your body- do NOT get a stronger prescription- Now is the time you are taking back your eye health!  Try to find a behavioral optometrist if you currently wear eyeglasses or contact lenses.  They will work with you to regain your vision, which has been lost from relying on the casts of corrective lenses, which progressively weaken your eyes.  Next eye exam, request a weaker prescription!

If you have a standard optometrist, just like a standard Medical Doctor they will resist your trying to improve your actual health. But, a behavioral optometrist will gladly work with you!

The point is to gradually weaken your cast, or prescription, and thus gradually strengthen your vision. IT REALLY WORKS, and works very well-

I wore glasses for 30 plus years, and now do not need them at all!!

The eyes can be strengthened, just as can the muscles and supporting structures of the body, including tendons, ligaments and bones, through progressive stimulation through Perfectly Paleo Exercise and optimum Paleo Nutrition!!

You can exercise the eyes, by moving print away until it starts to blur, and then moving it forward until you can just make it out- hold it, and read THERE- the print will gradually come into clear focus!

Do this several times a day, and if you are nearsighted, you will slowly become less so!

If you are farsighted, reverse the process: take a printed page, and gradually move it towards you, until it starts to blur...  move it back until you can barely make it out- and it will gradually clear as well!

And so, there you have it!  Start to clear you life of casts; Self Imposed Impeders of our natural senses, and quite a bit in our lives will start to improve, rather than gradually decline, which everyone now takes as a given.

It’s not.  Our Creator did not make us to just get sick, weak, infirm and die- He wouldn’t do that!!  We are meant to be vital, strong and fit until the end!  Only MAN, with his inventions and “improvements” can get in his own way- with shoes, eyeglasses, and lazy breathing!  All of them have their place, but they need to be kept at arm’s length- kind of like using a chain saw- they’re great, but also very dangerous.

Use them carefully, and put them away as soon as you can.

We are meant to operate in our natural state, as God made us.  Tools are for only occasional use!

I think it is a given that young children, whose bodies and minds are developing, should be given the most nutrient dense, the most very nutritionally supportive foods that we can!  Traditionally, pregnant mothers have been known to require the very best nutrition, rest, and the purest environment possible to ensure a healthy, undamaged fetus and then BABY.

To me, this is kind of a “DUH” moment; but, it’s beginning to appear that I am, if not alone, at least in the minority in modern day America with such thoughts-

Witness- our Government sanctioned, recommended, and in actuality MANDATED and MICRO-MANAGED School Lunch Program:

I, for one, (although I know that the Department of Agriculture, the Food Pyramid/My Plate, and the Dieticians have all been co-opted into supporting grain subsidies and the selling of big Ag’s GMO grains above all!)- Even I was utterly horrified and ashamed of what it has come to; what we are feeding our kids!

Again, look at the photos on the site linked to above, and think to yourself:

What nutrition is in this crap?  How can kids develop normally, or even at a sub-normal level, consuming this junk??

Answer:  They can’t!

Obesity, diabetes, attention deficit disorder, autism.... the list goes on and on, and these diseases, that used to only strike old men are now taking down 9 and 10 year old children.

If you put sugar laden gasoline into a car, the engine will self-destruct-

So why do we put SUGAR LADEN FOODS into our very CHILDREN???

The results are identical.

Even more so in the case of living children, since they are in the process of building their bodies, their engines of life.  A car engine comes ready built, and is still destroyed by such ill treatment!

The science is out- Sugar is the poison, and real food and real fat is the savior!!

This is not even debatable any longer- the science is there, ready to be read...

But, most Doctors, who have basically NO knowledge of nutrition are not willing to change what they think they knew from what they heard in the 1970’s... as are most Dieticians....

AND, most importantly, most Governmental Bureaucrats!

But, I want YOU to know that yes, nutrition is vitally important for health and wellness, and looking good and feeling good, mentally and physically-

In fact- it is VITAL!

Chris has made a science of telling you, in detail, exactly what you need to do, what to eat and avoid to have a healthy, happy, wonderful baby!

Everything our very government seems hell-bent on sabotaging....

And so, if you are planning on having a child anytime soon, please get the healthy baby code!

I don’t want you relying on Government administrators, and school lunch ladies to help you fix the damage done pre, and during pregnancy, because that will just not happen.

And, if you still harbor any thoughts that the agencies in place, and sanctioned by the American Medical Association and the Government are really trustworthy, and not pushing the agenda of SELLING GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZED GRAINS...

Is there still any doubt that the agenda is to push grains at all costs???

Grains turn to sugar, immediately in the human body!

Sugar is the direct cause of diabetes!!

So why is Diabetes Self Management telling us how to shop for grains???

This one photo says it all.  It’s all about money:

Money for the drug companies, that profit by keeping us sick, but (barely) alive.

Money for the medical clinics, that were trained by the drug companies, that profit by treating us for diseases that are easily treated by proper nutrition and lifestyle.

And money for the government, through taxes and payoffs by the big grain cartels, to keep the system running- growing huge fields of grains and especially GMO grains- putting small farmers out of business as much as possible since they are “wild cards” and might grow real, honest-to-God nutritious foods that might compete with the altered varieties that Monsanto comes up with- sending agents in Body Armor and with automatic weapons to pour out raw milk from Amish farmers as if it was drugs...

We have entered nutritional madness, and it is all about money!

Don’t fall victim to this mindset.  Take charge of you and your family’s health.

Eat real foods, meat, seafood, veggies, grass fed butter, grass fed beef, pastured pork, nuts and seeds.  Get what you can from LOCAL FARMS- THEY ARE THE BEST!
Local farmers care about what they produce; as you should about what you eat!  Let’s get back to basics- eat locally, and seasonally!

You don’t need processed crap from big ag and the big grain cartels.

Just remember- if Great Grandma didn’t recognize it as food, IT ISN’T!!

If you are ready to start a family, get the healthy baby code from Chris!

And think for yourself!!  Don’t let anyone else tell you what you should eat- research it yourself- go to PaleoJay- go to Chris Kresser- go to Robb Wolf, Jimmy Moore, Mark Sisson- the list goes on!

I have heard SO MUCH in the Paleo Land about the importance of play.

Otherwise, get it on iTunes, within 24 hours...

Duh, I know it’s important to play to be a totally rounded, healthy person- after all, All work and no Play makes Paleo Jay a dull boy, right?  I mean, I get it; in the modern Western (and increasingly entire world), people in general work... far, far too much!

But that’s not what I’m talking about, and you and I both instinctively know it.

Work is not REAL WORK ANYMORE!!!

REAL work is what our Great Grandparents did, every day, as did their grandparents and all our forebears and the endless generations of those who came before!  Actual, physical, arduous, demanding physical work-

Work that demanded you bend your knees, lift things, carry things, throw, cut, slash, and pound!

In modern, 1st world today, almost no one does these things any longer.

They go to the gym, do bench presses and squats, elliptical machines and cross fit work outs... They do kettle bell workouts, and Pilates and such, whatever video is the video-of -the-month on their DVD.

Then, reading the Paleo info about “the importance of Play”, the typical Paleo afficianado runs off to play “Ultimate Frisbee”, shirtless, in their capris, and thinks :

“I’ve done it, dude!  The total Paleo thing- I worked in my IT job, standing up of course-  with my suit, cool tie, and Vibram 5 Fingers all day, and then, I freaking played like a cave-dude with a plastic disc and then went home, put on my orange glasses to fight blue light, and went to bed at, like,  7:45 PM”.

Although this is all very laudable (although, hereabouts, in rural Wisconsin, virtually no one talks like this!), a real, important point has been sadly missed by this urban caveman viewpoint: i.e.-

You Played, but you NEVER DID ACTUALLY WORK!!

Real work is something that can only be done for brief stints of time.  It is accomplishing something, hopefully for yourself or a tribal member, i.e. family or friend that needs to do something physically on their land, or otherwise to help them survive and thrive!

The best form of real work is like what I did last week- after my Neolithic Work, meaning After Agriculture Work, which is what work became after the discovery of agriculture 10,000 years ago, which was “fake work”- work that pleased the ruling classes by bolstering their own positions of kingship, and the ability to accumulate wealth in the form of stored grains. But I digress...

Real, honest-to-God work is working really hard, for maybe an hour or two, for a real purpose, moving,  (logs, rocks, animal carcasses, warfare)-  whatever needs doing, and I mean REALLY needs doing- this is real work.

I had three dropped trees, this past week, next to my house.  My mission, should I choose to accept it, was to... move all the huge logs, branches, and brush somehow back away from the house.

And so, I did.  I didn’t hire it done. I didn’t just let it sit...

I did it!

I came home from my normal, Neolithic job, tired but- uh, not really.  Although I’d worked out ala Perfectly Paleo Exercise each morning, I knew that that was really play.  Now, I needed to get my good friend John Deere, along with his buddy the logging chain, and start into lifting and dragging...

And so I did, night after night!

I won’t say the process was fun, because it really wasn’t, not too much. (Although  I did have music playing as I worked, which was really nice!)

It was hard.  It was arduous.  It was painful, along with many scratches and scrapes, hard lifting (the trailer kept slipping off the trailer ball), and climbing back on the tractor and off...

But, you know what?

It was incredibly satisfying and rewarding!
Now, I am more than ready for some Play time- because I have earned it!

I’ll sing with the choir at church tomorrow- I’ve earned it!

I’ll work out in the basement later, and do some barefoot sprinting- I’ve earned it!

I’ll record this very podcast, and sing a little song at the start and finish because- I’ve earned it!

And then, I’ll watch a video that evening - “Young James Herriot” if you want to know, that I have wanted to see for quite some time, and finally got from inter-library loan in the Wisconsin Library System...

Life is good!

But it is good, and satisfying, because I first did- REAL WORK!

We are meant to perform real work.  If we don’t, we feel Worthless, (subconsciously), and rightfully so.

If you, yourself, are physically capable of doing something, do not hire it done, no matter how much money you have!

This is the road to decadence.  Do some real work- you’ll be glad, no; OVERJOYED that you did!

Real foods a-waitin- and that’s more than enough -

And you love pizza- that’s what you said -oh yeah

The crust is meat, and you can cook it with lard -

PaleoJay Podcast #47 Why I do my Perfectly Paleo Exercise in - the Early Morning!

Pretty much every day, I awaken quite early, about 4:25 AM in fact.

But Jay, But Jay!” I hear you yell- “isn’t that disturbing to your circadian rhythms, and, uh, just hard and a big pain?”

Well.... NO.  I get up then because-

I can get so much done in the early morning, and it has become my favorite time of day!
It is truly my me time, where I get in touch with myself, my body, and my mind as well.  I also make my Paleo Smoothie which is the foundation of my paleolithic nutrition for the day, loaded with virtually everything my body needs. I also make Paleo coffee, in my Aerobie Press with organic coffee, and load it up with coconut oil (in my during my workout cup) and then with real whipped cream and cinnamon and cloves in my driving to work cup...)
It is not a hardship to wake up to your favorite time of day, especially when you have gotten to bed at 8:30 or earlier- and so have had plenty of restful, restorative sleep and are more than ready to bounce out of bed!

When the alarm goes off, I awaken, and then I start to breathe, deeply, from my diaphragm.  This is the way to wake up gradually, and pleasantly, rather that wrenching yourself from sleep and stumbling to the bathroom!  I continue this deep, diaphragmatic breathing for 5-10 minutes, enjoying the feeling of gradual awakening...

Then, I arise, and go to the bathroom, where I do my mobility exercises- just gradually rotating each limb and joint gradually in turn, to fully awaken and energize my body and limbs in a slow, pleasant, and natural manner- king of like how a cat would gradually wake up from a pleasant slumber!  A complete description of this whole routine in in my eBook Perfectly Paleo Exercise available on Amazon and the iBookstore, among many other vendors:

Next, I make my coffee- heating the water in an electric tea kettle (way faster and easier than my old gas kettle!), and then, whilst the water boils, make my Paleo Smoothie,

Not to turn this into a huge advertisement for my eBooks, but they are a quick, organized resource...

Next, while my Vitamix blender is whirring away, I go into the living room, start up my TV and Netflix on my Apple TV, (lots of other interfaces are available- Wii, Xbox, what have you), and spread a towel on the carpet...I’m gettin’ ready for a fun time!

Next, carrying my mug of organic, coconut oil laden coffee, I repair to the living room to enjoy the gradual total awakening, energizing, and totally natural strengthening of my muscles, ligaments and tendons by doing my virtual resistance exercises as outlined in Perfectly Paleo Exercise, and also gone into on my site

Some days, like today, I follow the virtual resistance with pushups, straight legged situps, and hindu squats and pushups, which are also described at my site and in my eBook.  I also do some self-resisted exercise, both for the arms, wrist and hands, neck and face; along with hindu bridging, which is kind of a total natural facelift and spinal restorer all in one kind of a deal- something everyone in the world, in my opinion, should do daily for both bodily and mental health!

One thing that I think standard Paleo is missing is this emphasis on natural, real world exercise.  Cross Fit,  Olympic Lifting, Power Lifting, Extreme Body building- they all seem to have infiltrated the Paleo scene way too much.

These things are not natural, not at all!  Just as marathon running has been shown to be anti-healthy, I maintain that heavy, extreme weight lifting is also extremely unhealthy!

There.  I’ve said it.  I’m going to get a lot of heat over this, but I stand my ground-

Natural, Paleolithic, Ancient Greek training is all you really need, or should want!

Exercise in a natural manner, like a cat- use your own body as resistance!  Nothing else is necessary.  Maintain your body in the process- like Kelly Starrett says in Becoming a Supple Leopard, Kelly Starrett at Mobility Wodevery human needs to know how to maintain their own body!  Incorporate your body’s maintenance into each early morning workout you do- it’s that easy!

Today I heard that Casey Viator passed away.

 If you don’t know who that is, he was the  experimental human that proved the efficiency of Arthur Jone’s Nautilus machines back in the 1970’s- he was a genetically gifted guy, who could build strength and muscle at a rapid rate, and so was chosen for the experiment...

Bottom line: he gained 63 pounds of muscle in 28 days!!

He really did, and it was amazing!  He was the same age as me, your own PaleoJay...

He just passed away yesterday.

I mention this, sadly, to point out what I believe to be true- as I said before, just as Marathon running is extremely un healthy,( the original Marathon runner in Greece DIED upon completing his run to deliver a message)-

 So Is Heavy, H.I.T., high intensity weight training!!  Muscle BULK is not good, in and of itself...

The founder of modern bodybuilding, Eugen Sandow also died early, at 58.  He was incredibly impressive, especially at that early time, and trained with extremely heavy weights!

I don’t look for someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger to live a long and happy life, either...

So, I say: Train for life, don’t live for training!  The ancient Greeks, who seem to have had most of our current problems figured out, besides their providing the knowledge for us to copy to create our current Western democracy and civilization, were essentially Paleolithic Peoples.

They had just figured out a whole heck of a lot of stuff that made life better and mapped out the future of the entire world for thousands of years...

But, they also valued the paleo past that made them what they were- look at old statues and reliefs- they ran sprints, they did gymnastics, threw spears and javelins; they did natural, total body exercise that emphasized the ideal human form and performance.

They were all about form, function, and health.

Not about overload, hypertrophy, and muscle bulk for it’s own sake!

I don’t think Plato ever asked Socrates “How much can you snatch?”

So, let’s go back to natural strength, strengthing for LIFE rather than for a record book!  For real fitness instead of a one day magazine cover or trophy or photo shoot...

Classic Fitness- think Greek Statue instead of an emaciated Marathon runner,
OR a bloated, huge-muscled freak that has destroyed his joints and bodily vital force!
So, to get back to early mornings...

Just make real exercise a natural part of your day!

You get up, you do deep breathing... then easy mobility exercises.  You go downstairs, ala PaleoJay, and
brew your coffee and green tea
Make your Green Paleo Smoothie in your prized Vitamix

Then, you do your virtual resistance exercise, followed by mobility work.   If you can and have it scheduled that day, you follow up with some self-resisted, and isometric exercise... and, if it is a fun, time less-restricted wonderful day, you finish up with some calisthenics, like pushups, straight-legged situps, hindu squats and pushups!

Then, have a big breakfast of all paleo foods-

Your Paleo Smoothie!
Free range eggs (if you want)
Pastured liver (if you want)
Pastured bacon (if you want)

All are based on your appetite- eat all that you desire!

Trust me, you won’t be hungry again for a long, long time!

But, as I do, try to drink a quart or so of your Paleo Smoothie in the late morning...

Then, have lunch in the mid-afternoon-

A grass fed burger without the poison bun, a giant salad with meat atop- something like that...

Then, in mid-afternoon- drink another quart of Paleo Smoothie...

Then go home and relax!  You have had your nutrition for the day!!

You will NOT be hungry, trust me!

Go home, forest bathe, sit on the porch and play guitar, sing with family and friends, have a glass or two of wine, take a walk around the neighborhood, connect with your tribe!

You are home free!  Relax- you have earned it!!  You won’t need to eat until the next morning...

It’s kind of a real freedom to live like this, my friend!

So, again, I am bucking the Paleolithic trend, but I say again:

Don’t skip breakfast- eat a huge one!

Train early- then you have succeeded early- and are ready to eat, and then relax (at work)...

Eat throughout the day, but only super nutrient dense paleo smoothies (a huge key here!) and salads and wild or pastured meats....

Now, you have given your body everything your archetype, your paleolithic ancestor would demand that you acquire before resting:

1. Stimulus to your muscles to adapt and grow!

Adequate nutrition (and then some!) to supply the needs of the body.

Now, you have the luxury to recreate and enjoy your tribe, be like the ancient Greeks and have Philosophy, religion and music, poetry and drama-

become the best YOU you can be!!

And, above all - Get to bed really early!!

Have a great sleep!!

I don’t mean to over-sensationalize it, but the future of health care looks that extreme- you will be part of one of two groups.  The first is that of a state run health care system, where all problems will be “medicated”, that is treated with a pill, or a drug.  We know how Big Government does things, don’t we?  One canned answer for every disease or problem...  No time to assess lifestyle.  Nutrition doesn’t matter- just look at our governmental My Plate, that recommends grains and vegetable oils as the mainstay of a healthy diet!

With the health care system of the future now pretty much set in place, this state run system will be running huge deficits by default, right from the start.  But, there will be alternatives- so called boutique or concierge styles of medical practice.  This is where you contract with one group of doctors and a clinic on a yearly or monthly basis, paying a fee upfront to be one of the patients of this private clinic.  Then, this clinic has the financial incentive to keep you healthy!  The healthier they keep you, the less the plan costs, and the more profit they make- this puts all the incentives in the right place.

Robb Wolf, of has an elegant answer to this type of system in his  This is just this type of a boutique style of clinic that I spoke of before, that is based around keeping you, the patient healthy, rather than just using crisis management as it’s program, as standard medicine does today- you know, just waiting until the person is really sick and broken, like with a heart attack or full blown diabetes, and then finally doing something like surgery and drug prescriptions loaded with side effects; all at a huge cost, and vastly reducing the patient’s quality of life.

 This is the way to prevent health care/prevention- empower the patient, i.e. YOU through conveying simple knowledge that is based on the most recent scientific facts- not medical knowledge as it existed 25-60 years ago, as is done in standard medicine today!

I know, for now we all need to have a basic insurance that covers us in the case of catastrophic injury or illness- but really, the point is hopefully that you never have to use it.  The only way this will happen, for now, is for you to educate yourself, and apply the principles of an ancestral type of diet and lifestyle, starting by eating real, natural, God-made foods exclusively, getting rid of all the crap man-made processed sugar bombs, sleeping well and amply, exercising briefly and intensely, and walking and stretching regularly.  Oh, and by ignoring any advice given by our standard medical clinics and the Government- this is key!  Go to any standard medical clinic, and you will by default be given drugs- this is what they have become- drug pushers!

By doing all of the just mentioned items, and thus caring for ourselves as people have done since time immemorial, we will exclude ourselves from governmental interference in our health and well being, and put our health care back where it belongs- in our own hands!

So, I hope you becoming convinced that it is indeed up to you to take care of your health, and that of your families!  When these “boutique” style medical practices are up and running nationwide, and you have one in your area, that will of course make it easier, since your physician and clinicians will actually help you on your paleo way through information, encouragement, and various medical tests that will show if your are indeed on the right road, or are veering off into diabesity....

But for now, we just have to do it ourselves- but then, it really is always up to us ourselves, isn’t it?  It’s just that now, we need to be Paleo Pioneers- driving our barbaric covered paleolithic wagons into the future, their square wheels kind of skidding along since we haven’t figured that out yet, but still knowing much better than those drug dependent sick people that live in the big, gleaming, yet tenement-ridden cities just how to eat, live, and enjoy life naturally!
