PaleoJay Podcast #39- Spotlight on Paleo Podcasts!

Today, I carried my little recorder with me on my second ever Peripatetic Paleo Podcast- where we shine a light on the best paleo podcasts.

All of the following excellent podcasts are all available free on iTunes for your listening pleasure:

Robb Wolfe, Jimmy Moore, Angelo Copolla, Dr. Josh Axe, Chris Kresser, and Sean Croxton are all recommended, along with Carl Lenore of Superhuman Radio and Sarah Fragoso of Everyday Paleo.  Of course, PaleoJay podcast is encouraged also to be listened to weekly.

Loren Cordain doesn't have his own podcast, but he does have a great website at thepaleodiet.com

Paleo Continuing Education- the BEST Paleo Podcasts!

It is really important that you continue on your Paleo journey for your whole life!

Continuing to educate yourself is crucial to "keep on keeping on"!

Even though you think you understand and have assimilated all of the paleo diet and way of life, trust me:

There is never enough learning!  Ever!  Not in any field of endeavor...

So...  listen to podcasts!  Here are some of the very best:
  1. The paleo solution  Robb Wolf is the best!  You can also just go to iTunes, and type in: The Paleo Solution
  2. The Livin' La Vida Low Carb podcast with Jimmy Moore- Jimmy's blog with umpteen links!

You can also, as above, just type in the name Jimmy Moore in iTunes- subscribe to ALL of his podcasts- there are more and more each day!!

      3. Latest in Paleo!  Angelo Copolla does a great job of digesting, and then broadcasting virtually ALL that has happened in Paleo in the past week.  NOT to be missed!

      4. Transform Your Health with Dr. Josh Axe  Dr. Axe is a great resource- though not strictly Paleo, he is at least 90%... and he has such an upbeat, engaging way that he is great to "reinforce" your paleo education long-term!

      5. Chris Kresser  You really don't want to miss this guy!
Probably the brightest guy around, Paleo nutrition-wise!  He makes you THINK!
Not one to go "with the flow"...

     6. Underground Wellness  Sean Croxton is a great resource- "YOOHH"- quite the personality- but great info and depth as well!  Listen up!

7.Everyday Paleo  Sarah Fragoso "and friends" will edify and delight you, as they talk about how to run a paleo kitchen in a house with KIDS!!  And they really do it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Especially if you have kids in the house- don't miss this podcast!!

There are others- heck, Superhuman Radio is great, although the commercials are ..... endless- thankfully podcasts can fast-forward!  Balanced Bites is another great source of continuing paleolithic nutrition ed.!

If you want more (and if you're like me, you will!)  just type in paleo on iTunes!

Do the same on Twitter.  You might even run across  Paleojay!

I'd subscribe, if I were you!  Guy is a genius...

No podcast, YET!  But here I am, about to sing a Paleo Education song!!

The Importance of Planning Your Health Goals with Dr. Josh Axe

Click the above link to view Dr. Josh Axe!

I hope you enjoyed that video with Dr. Axe as much as I did!  He really hits the nail on the head: we all too often plan our vacations, spend hours watching mindless TV shows, etc. but fail to make plans for our most important goals in life:

Our plans for health and wellness, professional, financial, and personal fulfillment, spiritual goals, and relationship goals for those important to us in our lives!

It really is somewhat strange that, although we all have aspirations, most of us never make the first, most important, simple and easy step-

Make our plan to achieve our goal, and then write it down!

This vision board is a great, simple idea to accomplish this, and to then continuously remind ourselves of what we are all about, just by looking at it.  I especially like his green drink daily breakfast idea!

Check out this link to get started:

That can be your first, primary (or PRIMAL) health goal!

Next, you could put up some photos of bags of sugar, or processed foods, or "food porn" like bakery products, chips, or bread... with big red "X's" drawn over them.  (Just some ideas here...)

I think most adults already have professional types of goals; but very few, especially as they get older and it becomes ever more important! have any health plans or goals whatsoever!  We work so hard at our adult roles and goals of finance, child raising, helping out with family and friends, etc. that we feel we just don't have time or energy to work on our all-important health!

Ironically, it is a truism to say, but if we lose our health we lose everything else!
Money, retirement, the ability to enjoy ourselves, to help our children, family and friends- everything!!

So go make yourself (and your family) a vision board!  Put your priorities back into place!

Then, your whole life will have purpose, make sense, and most importantly-

Take you exactly where you want to go!
